He was predeceased by: his son Mitchell Hall Gunter; his parents, Maurice Gunter and Effie Brown Gunter; and his brothers, Roy Gunter, Charles Gunter and Maurice Gunter.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Williamson Gunter of Sugar Hill, GA; his son Billy S. Gunter of Sugar Hill, GA; his godchildren, Mitchell, Rachel Bernstein, Anthony Bernstein and Danielle Bernstein (Keith Cherry); and his sister-in-law Sara. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
