With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Janice B. Lockhart of Sugar Hill, Georgia, born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Janice left this world on September 27, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Lockhart; her parents, J. B. O'Rouke and Janet O'Rouke; her brothers, Alan Dale O'Rouke, Sr. and Kevin Darrell O'Rouke; and her nephews, Alan Dale O'Rouke, Jr. and Kevin Darrell O'Rouke II.
She is survived by: her children, Alvin Jack Lockhart, Anita Jill Bales, Albert James Lockhart and Allison Jeanette Lockhart Shafiq; her grandchildren, Joshua Dailey, Hannah Irvin, Gabriel Kyle Dailey and James Lockhart; her great grandchild Lincoln Irvin; her brother Michael O'Rouke (MaryLou); and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Higgins O'Rouke and Cathy Farmer O'Rouke. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the West Buford Baptist Church (1050 W Shadburn Ave, Buford, GA 30518). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
