He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Russell Edens and Pallas Athens Calbeck Edens; his sisters, Ruth Edens and Johnnie Fox; and his stepdaughter Sue Dempsey.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Gary Lanier (Diane), Linda Sutherland (Larry), Cathy Nicholson and Barbara Ledbetter (Jim); his sister Sara Ann Patrick; and his caregivers, Betty, Ansley, Joyce, April, Paula, Debbie and Brittney.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home (535 Red Bud Rd NE, Calhoun, GA 30701). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hero Agriculture @ 1392 Roland Hayes Parkway, Calhoun, Georgia, 30701.
