He was predeceased by : his parents, Herman Winston Adams and Mary Ann Bridges Hale; his sons, Brendan Lee Adams and Preston Frazier Adams; his brother Steven Helton "Stevie" Breeden; his grandparents, Albert Moody Bridges, Helen Inez Tidmore Bridges, Guy and Sydney Adams; and his father-in-law Nelson Lee Wilson.

He is survived by : his uncle Pat Gaines; his wife April Lee Wilson Adams; his sons, Dylan Chase Adams and Levi Jaden Adams; his siblings, Stanley Hale (Susan) and Wanda Levan (Dale); his sister-in-law Cynthia Swords (Nick); and his mother-in-law Brenda Wilson. He is also survived by 6 nieces, 4 nephews; 1 great-niece; 4 great-nephews; 2 great-great-nephews; many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) to help with research to fight this disease, to Operation BBQ Relief, or to the Cancer Navigators in Rome.
