It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George David Ward of Summerville, Georgia, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on June 5, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Ward and Lelia Kiker Ward; his wife Evelyn Hughes Ward; and his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Ward and Shirley Ward.

He is survived by : his children, David Ward (Kathy) and Kimberly Michelle Ward; his siblings, Jimmy Ward (Elaine), Brenda Akerey (Roy) and Frances Akerey (Charles); and his grandchildren, Tytus, Jovie Thrasher, Kaitlyn Thrasher, Preston Ward, Brylie Ward, Bryson Ward, Dylan Ward, Devon McGuire and Levi McGuire.
