He was predeceased by: his parents, William Pharr McCollum and Nellie Lee Gordon McCollum; his wife Jennie Langston McCollum; and his brother Thomas C. McCollum. He is survived by: his children, Jimmy McCollum (Lillian) and Judy Mosher (Jeff); his grandsons, Ian McCollum (Gabi), Wes Love (Cara) and Aaron McCollum; and his great grandchildren, Rhett Love and Callum McCollum.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund (C/O Pam Hammonds – 204 Congress Street, Summerville, GA 30747).
