He is survived by: his wife Wanda Smith Spears; his daughter Diane Mitchell (William); his siblings, Melba Smallwood and Flavis Spears (Judy); his grandsons, Paul Mitchell (Hallie) and Will Mitchell; and his great grandchild Riley Mitchell.
