He was predeceased by: his parent Tinnie Leo Brock Miller; his former wife Audrey L. Van Meter Miller; his son-in-law Reverend Jimmy Stombaugh, Sr.; his stepchildren, Danny Duvall and Teresa Redwine Pickle; his siblings, Joan Stout, Pauline Cornellis (Roy), Hulda Mae Miller, Joan Miller, Johnny Miller (Evelyn), Charlie Miller, Robert Miller, Edward Miller, Lester Miller, Mort Levie Miller and Gordon Miller; and his father Gordon Lee Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Fowler Miller; his children, Jerry Wayne Miller (Sherry) of Dalton, GA, Roy E. Miller of Dalton, GA, Glenna (David Farmer) and Minnie Juanita Stombaugh of Knoxville, TN; his siblings-in-law, Pat Miller of Riverdale, GA, Janice Miller of Griffin, GA, Vickie Miller of Atlanta, GA, Kathy Miller of Rocky Face, GA and Harold Stout of Kokomo, IN; and his stepchildren-in-law, Pat Duvall of North Carolina and Jonathan Pickle of Summerville, GA. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Church of God of the Union Assembly (2211 S Dixie Hwy, Dalton, GA 30720). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Whitfield Memorial Gardens (710 W Cuyler St, Dalton, GA 30720).
