He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Simpson and Carrie Ann Atkins Simpson; and his sister Nancy Warren. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Crabtree Simpson; his children, Rendell Johnson and Angela Flannigan (Chuck); his brothers, Larry Simpson (Carol) and Victor Simpson; his grandchildren, Caleb Flannigan (Mary), Treavor Flannigan (Kathryn) and Charles Flannigan; and his great grandchildren, Sophia Flannigan and Dean Flannigan.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mason Funeral Home (320 GA-48, Summerville, GA 30747). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
