He was predeceased by : his brother Shane Atkinson; his grandparents, Esther, Roger Rushing and Cleoman Connell; and his close friend Jamie Thomas.

He is survived by : his daughters, Amber Rushing (Timothy) of Enoree, SC, Johanna of Hazlehurst and Shasta of Baxley; his parents, Kathy Tippins (Jerry) of Baxley and Madison Rushing (Gail) of Surrency; his siblings, Chastity Rushing of Baxley, Mitchell Rushing of Surrency and Adrian Atkinson (Krisann) of Baxley; and his grandchildren, Rosaleigh Opal and Brooklyn Marie. He is also survived by Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
