It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Ford of Surrency, Georgia, born in Appling, Georgia, who passed away on February 5, 2026, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Sharon departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Sharon may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Sharon leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her mother Novadeen Jackson; and her sister Jequito Griffin. She is survived by: her father Wayne Jackson of Surrency; her daughter Tanya Mosley (Greg Sheffield) of Baxley; her grandchildren, Hunter Mosley (Catherine Transou) and Michaela Moody (Brandon); her great grandchild Madelyn Moody; her sister Debra Aldrich; and her aunt A. Faye Jones. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of South Georgia, located at 1625 Sunset Blvd, Jesup, GA.
