With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Piot of Suwanee, Georgia, who passed away on December 2, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Joan departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Joan. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband Lester William Piot (Les). She is survived by: her children, Jim Piot (Marilee) of Dallas, Texas, Bob Piot (Barbara) of Corona de, Joanne Kurt of Boston, Massachusetts, Tom Wallek of Las Vegas, Nevada, Laurie Owens (Phil) of Dallas, Texas, Kim Roman (John) of Alpharetta, Georgia, Leslie Leath (Jim) of Suwanee, Georgia and Jon Piot (Susan) of Dallas, Texas.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the McDonald & Son Funeral Home (150 Sawnee Dr, Cumming, GA 30040). A reception will be held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Samaritan's Purse (Franklin Graham), an organization close to Joan's heart.
