He was predeceased by: his parents, Su Kyong Yum and Kyong Hee Yum (Park); and his sisters, Hyun Sook Hoskins, Hyun Jung Cannady, Hyun Kwang Yum, Hyun Ku Kim and Kap Suk Hong.
He is survived by: his wife Sang Ok Yum; his daughters, Soo Jin Place (James Hall) and SooMi Yum; his brother Kyu Hyun Yum; his grandchildren, Courtney Clinkingbeard, Maxwell Clinkingbeard, Sabrina Yum Shuster and Katrina Yum Shuster; and his great grandchild Elizabeth Bukovsky.
In lieu of flowers and condolence gifts, the family welcomes memorial contributions in the form of planting trees through the Arbor Day Foundation in Jung Hyun Yum's honor.
