He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Hales and Flora A. Hales. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Scott Hales (Ginger) of Duluth, GA, Andrea Bolt (Corey) of Gainesville, GA and Jessica Musselwhite (Mark) of Cumming, GA; his grandchildren, Jacob Hales (Ariana), Nathan Hales, Haley Bolt, Carson Bolt, Carter Bolt, Brooke Musselwhite and Doc Musselwhite; and his brothers, Richard Hales (Diane) of Elyria, OH and Gary Hales (Barbra) of Grafton, OH. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
