With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Amy Lauree Morris Whitaker (Swainsboro, Georgia), who passed away on May 8, 2025 at the age of 54. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Jerry Gene Morris, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Hannah Whitaker (Dylan Brown) and Hunter Whitaker (Tori) of LaGrange; her mother Sue Ellisor,; her stepfather Alfred Ellisor, Jr. of Savannah; her brother Jerry Gene Morris, Jr. (Susie) of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Parker Smith of LaGrange, River Whitaker of LaGrange, Sadie Whitaker of LaGrange and Weston Brown of LaGrange; and her great-aunts, Ann Peebles of Swainsboro and Martha Flanders (Charles) of Swainsboro.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Durden - Hudson Funeral Directors (206 E Pine St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Peebles - Curry Memorial Chapel. A burial was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 at the Corinth Methodist Cemetery.
