It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Annie Ruth Underwood of Swainsboro, Georgia, who passed away on October 21, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jackson White and Mattie Bell Collins White; her husband Joe Underwood, Sr.; and her great grandchild Kaibri Freeman. She is survived by: her children, Joe Underwood (Diane) of Twin City and Mary Ann Godbee (Mike) of Garfield; her grandchildren, Jody Underwood (Lane) of Twin City and Jennifer Wheeler of Twin City; her great grandchildren, Kelsey Williamson, Judson Underwood, Ava Underwood and Gatlin Freeman; and her sister Linda Rountree of Swainsboro. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family strongly encourage donations be made to Emanuel County Nursing Home, 117 Kite Road, Swainsboro, GA 30401.
