He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Carl, Helen Johnson of Garfield, Frank and Lois Johnson of Wrightsville; and his stepmother Danita Johnson of Garfield.
He is survived by: his parents, Richard A. Johnson of Garfield and Sara J. Johnson Claxton of Swainsboro; his stepfather Richard Claxton, Jr.; his sister Amy Johnson of Garfield; and his close friends, Ralph Cowart of Statesboro and Len Tanner of Augusta. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
