With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jean Roundtree (Swainsboro, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 25, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean Roundtree to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alphonso Monaco and Emma Monaco; her siblings, Edward Monaco, Richard Monaco, Ren Monaco, Louie Monaco, Alphonso Monaco, Sally Bacco-Marchand and Anne Visker; and her son James Roundtree.
She is survived by: her friend Flowers; and her children, Andrew Roundtree (Tammy) of Dublin, Michael Roundtree (Debbie) of Swainsboro, Melanie Todd of Swainsboro, Marsha Amerson (Tony) of Stillmore and Monica Hermann of Swainsboro.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calendar Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401).
In lieu of flowers, it was Jean's desire that all donations go to either St. Jude's Children Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation 2361 Hylan Blvd Staten Island, NY 10306.
