John Matthew Proctor Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Matthew Proctor of Swainsboro, Georgia, who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 43, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Rufus and Artie Nell Edenfield; his great-grandparent Sallie Mae Wilson; and his grandparents, James and Mary Proctor.
He is survived by: his parents, James Roger Proctor and Sandra Wilson Proctor of Swainsboro; his wife Meagan W. Proctor of Swainsboro; his children, Kaibry Proctor, Layla Proctor of Summertown and Hagan Riggs "Rig" Proctor; his brother Mitch Proctor (Tammy) of Swainsboro; and his nieces, Emma Proctor and Finley Proctor. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calendar Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A burial was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM.
