We announce the death of Marilyn Ramsey (Swainsboro, Georgia), who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 77. Marilyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Monroe Sloan and Jennie Mae Parks Sloan; and her siblings, Jesse Monroe, Jr. and Jerri Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Sloan Edenfield (Brian) of Savannah and Taylor Edenfield of Tybee Island, Georgia; her grandchildren, Thatcher Knudson of Athens, Georgia and Amelia Knudson of Savannah, Georgia; her niece Terri Sloan (Kevin); her great-niece Katie; her nephew Mark Mitchell (Miranda); her great-niece Marisol; and her great-nephew Justin of Brooklyn.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church (621 W Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401).
