He was predeceased by: his parents, Georgia Mae Smith Turner and Paul; and his brothers, Willie Turner, George Turner Jr., Lamar Turner and Ronnie Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Turner of Sumter; his children, Teko Turner of Atlanta, Georgia and Christina Pollard; his sisters, Mae Fannie Phillips, Vonnie Phillips of Soperton, Joyce Woods, Brenda Odom (Terry) of Swainsboro, Martha Gillis (Vernon), Linda Williams (James), Donna Turner, Ginger Smalls (Kenny) of Atlanta and Dorothy Boykins (James); and his sister-in-law Margaret Turner. He is also survived by his granddaughter, China Anderson; two great-grandchildren.
