She was predeceased by: her parents, James Brantley and Leatta Gunns Brantley; her husband Waders Mercer; her daughter Conney Fay Mercer-Webb; and her sister Effie May Harmon.
She is survived by: her sons, Waders Mercer (Eugenia) of Swainsboro, Mitchell Mercer (Doll) of Swainsboro and James Mercer (Theresa) of Swainsboro. She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Philip Missionary Baptist Church (231 S Racetrack St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A burial was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Swainsboro City Cemetery (1 Lewis St, Swainsboro, GA 30401).
