It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Edward Riner of Swainsboro, Georgia, born in Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on April 1, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Lynn Riner and Bobbie Jean Kirby Riner; and his brother Tyron Riner. He is survived by : his wife Kathy M. Riner of Swainsboro; his children, Megan Womack (Tyler) of Swainsboro, Phil Riner (Chastayne Kitchens) of Statesboro, Jesse Riner (Diana) of Macon, Jeffrey Hutcheson (Erin Hall) of Statesboro and Jason Wilcher (Krissy Widner) of Midville; his siblings, Sandra Edenfield of Swainsboro, Gerald Riner (Terry) of Savannah, Hugh "Cooter" Riner (Stephanie) of Swainsboro and Shawn Riner (Michelle) of Swainsboro; his nephews, Justin Riner and Keith Riner; his aunts, Margaret Smith and Jeannette "Puff" Webb; and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several other nieces and nephews and many friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 3rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Riner Pond House. A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 4th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401).
