He was predeceased by: his father Charlie Volf; and his former wife Lisa Volf. He is survived by: his mother Joan Thrush Volf; his wife Rene Volf; his children, Abigail Volf, Kaytie Doyle (Douglas) and Hannah Strickland; his grandchildren, Emaleigh Nasworthy and Jaxson Strickland; his brother Charles "Butch" Volf (Kim); Joan Volf. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
