She is survived by: her children, Willie James Smith of Sylvania, Georgia, Betty Smith of Brunswick, Georgia, Joyce Jones and Thomas; and her siblings, Alvera Holt (Robert), Elizabeth Edwards (James), Eva Mae Skeete (Vasco), Louise Scott and Grady Scott of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gaines Funeral Home (301 US-301 Frontage, Sylvania, GA 30467). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at the Friendship Memorial Cemetery (1511 Friendship Rd, Sylvania, GA 30467).
