With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gene Sheffield (Sylvania, Georgia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Brooks Sheffield and Virginia Moore Sheffield Poythress; his stepfather Troy William Poythress; his siblings, Barbara Sheffield Hinson and Donald Brooks Sheffield; and his son Bobby Dewayne Sheffield.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Lee Sheffield; his children, Lagina Sheffield Evans and Randall Sheffield (David Potts); his grandchildren, Brandy (Eric Thompson) and Blake (Paige Evans); and his close friend Georgia. He is also survived by family and was very close to his nieces, nephews, brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
