We bid farewell to Gwendolyn Sturdivant in Sylvania, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 29, 2026 at the age of 94. Gwendolyn touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband James Sturdivant, Sr.; her parents, James Sibley and Arrie Williams Smith; her sons, Jimmy and Gary Sturdivant; and her siblings, John Willie, Warren, James Smith, Geneva Stephenson, Ida Harrison, Doris Oglesby and Arrie West.
She is survived by: her sister Alice Slater; her children, Wayne Bragg and Kathy Johnson; her niece Sherry Smith; her daughters-in-law, Jeane Sturdivant and Cherril Sturdivant; and her brother-in-law David West. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Bascom Cemetery Fund.
