It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marie E Scott (Sylvania, Georgia), born in Screven, Georgia, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny James and Elise Evans (Robbins); her husband Harold Lee Scott; her son Joseph Watson Scott; her in-laws, Harold and Katherine Scott; and her siblings, James Evans, Thomas Evans, Ted Evans and Martha Ann Austin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lee Ann Scott (Luther Polk), Tracey Scott-Smith (Woody Smith) of Sylvania, GA and Tamara Scott Davis (Chris Davis) of Bluffton, SC; her grandchildren, Bailey Davis Rummler (Noah Rummler), Davis (Briana Rubinich Davis) of Charlotte, NC, Logan Smith (Jillian Lindsey Smith) and Kinslee Polk of Sylvania, GA; her great grandchildren, Erika Rummler, Albert Rummler, Kinsley Lane and Blakely Smith of Sylvania, GA.; and her sisters, Emily McCall of Alabama and Virgina Ozmore Heath of Texas. She is also survived by many other friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sylvania First Methodist Church (202 Ennis St, Sylvania, GA 30467). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
She loved flowers of any kind, but memorial contributions may also be made to the Sylvania First Methodist Church children's and/or youth's program (s) in honor of Marie's lifelong dedication to the faith and well-being of children.
