He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Lynwood Barber and Miriam Barnard Barber. He is survived by : his wife Victoria G. Barber; his children, Christina Lyn Barber, Michael Lynwood Barber, Jr. (Amy) and Jonathan Lance Barber (Angelina Nicole); his grandchildren, Gracee, Kyndall, Rhett, Jon-Michael, Jameson and Jaxon; his brothers, Ronnie Barber, Ricky Barber (Wendy) and David Barber (Barbara); and his stepchildren, Jason Toy, Tarah Browning (Will), Jolee Carerra (Lyle) and Sterling Toy. He is also survived by 13 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren.
