He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Madge Burke; his daughter Marsha Burke Orta; and his siblings, Emory, Jean and Jimmy Burke.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Mae Hunt Burke; his children, Roy F. Burke Jr. (Lisa) and Christa Cleland; his grandchildren, Justin Burke (Kristen), Jeffry Burke (Denae), Reid Burke (Jamie), Christopher Orta, Michael Orta and Travis Orta; his great grandchildren, Lewis, Jackson, Clara, Hunt, Layn, Zane, Wes Burke, Caiden Orta and Ocean Orta; and his sister Carol Williams. He is also survived by Grandpa's example to my dad, to my brothers and I, and to my sons and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thompson Strickland Waters, Joiner Anderson Chapel (202 Ennis St, Sylvania, GA 30467). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
