She is survived by: her sister Rosa Margaret Mitchell; her children, Jess Hobby (Melita), Jon Hobby (Lori), Gina Hobby Valentine and Alison Hobby McCranie (Stuart); her grandsons, Aaron, Jonathan, James, Jon, Matthew, Braxton and Spencer; and her great grandchild Theo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Margaret Jones Public Library in Sylvester, Georgia, in honor of Carol's life and legacy.
