With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Doris L. Shiver (Sylvester, Georgia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Doris left this world on May 15, 2026 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin E. Lawhorne and Ruth Underwood Lawhorne; her son-in-law Ken Joyner; and her brother Max Henry Lawhorne. She is survived by: her husband Franklin "Pete" Shiver; her children, Sharon Shiver Joyner and Bradford F. Shiver (Melissa); her grandchildren, Amanda Shiver (Scott) and Brett Shiver (Destani); and her great grandchild Bailey Ann Shiver. She is also survived by several nieces, cousins, and other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Sylvester (207 N Isabella St, Sylvester, GA 31791). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
