With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Ray Houston of Sylvester, Georgia, who passed away on October 17, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Edward and Janey Lee "Lydia" Mims Houston; his wife Virginia Johns "Ginger" Parker Houston; and his brothers, John Edward Houston, III and James William Houston.

He is survived by : his daughter Kristy Maddox of Sylvester; his grandchildren, Ashlee Nicole Busbin, Selena Busbin and William Coy "Will" Maddox Jr.; and his close friend Kay Mullis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
