He was predeceased by: his parents, Olan Tharpe and Lorine Cane Tharpe; and his wife Elaine Hood Tharpe. He is survived by: his sons, Jamie Tharpe and Jerry Tharpe; and his grandchildren, Clint Tharpe, Jakin Tillery, Jacey Tharpe, Jarret Tharpe and McKenzie Tharpe. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and host of extended family members and friends.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Banks Funeral Home (210 N Main St, Sylvester, GA 31791).
