He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Coleman and Edna Watson Coleman; his wife Myrtle Cooper Coleman; his son John Lewis Coleman, Sr.; and his siblings, Alvin Coleman, Eugene Coleman, Ella Mae Yarborough and Emma Lee Pullium.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Melita Anne Coleman; his grandchildren, Victoria Coleman and John Lewis Coleman, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Billy Cooper (LaVonne). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Snowridge Cemetery (Snowridge Rd, Ashburn, GA 31714).
