She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Marshall, Jr. and Carolyn Bass Watson; her grandparents, John Everett Bass, Lillie "Belle" Houston Bass, Samuel Morgan Watson, Golden Ward Watson of Colquitt and Georgia; her husband Rufus Edward Gandy; and her daughter Jennifer Lynn Gay.
She is survived by: her friends, Luke, Brittany Hagan, Maurice and Deloris Jenkins; and her cousins, Donna of Sylvester, Davis King of Sylvester and Norman Crowe (Donna) of Sylvester.
Following the end of the Campaign, Marsha received a visit from a representative of the American Heart Association out of the Atlanta office.
