She was predeceased by: her parents, James H. Fussell and Hattie Viola Bumgardner Fussell; and her husband Lee B. Whaley. She is survived by: her children, David B. Whaley of Sylvester, Joyce Whaley Luke and William of Albany; her siblings, Claudette Bruster of Dubberly, LA and William Fussell of Grayson, LA; her grandchildren, Savannah Luke, Michael Luke (Charlene) and Jonathan Luke (Joline); and her great grandchildren, Nathan Luke, Ryan Luke of Addison Luke, J. D, Massey and Joey Massey. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
