Benny left this world on July 20, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemuel Lawson Martin Jr. and Mildred Jean Green; his siblings, Porta Lea Solomon, Roy Edward Martin, Pony Wren Bushnell, Carl Weldon Martin, Bobby MacRay Martin and George Elwood Martin; and his great grandchild Benjamin Scott Dent.
He is survived by: his wife Norma June Martin; his children, Benny Morris Martin, Sherry June Vaughan (Bill) and Teresa Ann Neal; and his grandchildren, Christopher Adam Brennaman (Sasha), Amanda Leigh Dent (Scott), Justin Eanes Fotey, Nathan Keith Neal (Stephanie), Amber Nichole Warmoth (Scot), Abigail Devine Martin, Alexander Lawson Martin and William Odell Martin. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Roper Funeral Home & Crematory (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143).
