We are sad to announce that on December 13, 2023, at the age of 88, Martha Sue Godfrey of Talking Rock, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Farris Carter and Cordelia Cox; her son Lamar Godfrey; and her siblings, Althea Godfrey, Lib Ingram, Mert Bohannon, Ruby Cole, Albert "Ab" Cox and Buman Cox.

She is survived by : her husband Ceburn Godfrey; her daughter Connie; her son-in-law Kenneth Lowman of Dawsonville; her son Joey; her daughter-in-law Joy Godfrey of Talking Rock; her children, Trena Godfrey of Jasper and Terry; her daughter-in-law Martha Godfrey of Jasper; her grandchildren, Adam, Michelle Godfrey, Damon Lowman, Lucy, Douglas Weatherford, T. J. Hester, Seth Godfrey, Isaac Crane and Eli Godfrey; her great grandchildren, Jack Godfrey and Julianna Godfrey; and her sister Mary Cook of Jasper.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in Sue's honor to Wildwood Health Care.
