He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Albert Smith and Evelyn May Smith; and his brother Michael E. Smith, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Carol Currey Smith; his nephew Michael E. Smith, Jr. (Miranda); his nieces, Amanda Smith and Amber Smith; his sister-in-law Janet Currey; and his close friends, Tommy Smith, Chris Wooten, Howie Smith and Mark Fultcher. He is also survived by seven great nieces and nephews; two great, great nieces and nephews.
