He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Leathers and Ruby Foote Leathers. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Wisener Leathers; his sons, Chad Douglas Leathers (Kelsey) and Clayton Monroe Leathers (Valerie); his grandchildren, Lane, Diorelis, Eli, Andrew, Riley, Ezra, William and Brantly; his great grandchildren, Easton and Maria; and his siblings, Sheila Leathers Sauls (Richard) and Robert Leathers.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. Collins Funeral Home (206 S Carroll Rd, Villa Rica, GA 30180). The inurnment will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 9446 Villa Rica Hwy, Villa Rica, GA 30180.
