He is survived by: his wife Irene Emory Tidwell of Temple; his daughters, Kimberly Waid (Terry) of Temple and Angie Matthews (Jason) of Temple; his brothers, Allen Tidwell (Joan) of Villa Rica, Joe Tidwell (Debbie) of Newnan, Steve Tidwell (Peggy) of Temple and David Tidwell (Darlene) of Villa Rica; his sister-in-law Susan Tidwell of Temple; his grandchildren, Kaylan Thomas (Blake) of Temple, Casey Waid of Cullman, AL and Jaycie Stevens (Zack) of Temple; and his great grandchildren, Tyson Thomas, Kendyll Thomas, Josie Stevens, Kaisley Waid and Oaklyn Waid. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. Collins Funeral Home (206 S Carroll Rd, Villa Rica, GA 30180). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at the Meadowbrook Memory Gardens (1100 NE Hickory Level Rd, Villa Rica, GA 30180).
