We are sad to announce that on May 3, 2026, at the age of 78, Larry Douglas Rutledge of Temple, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ernest Rutledge and Jimmie Lou Cohran Rutledge; and his siblings, James Rutledge and Patricia Woodall. He is survived by: his children, Tony Douglas Rutledge, Christie of Temple, Lindsey, Michael Miller of Charleston and Amanda Rutledge of Villa Rica; his stepdaughters, Scarlet Martin of Dallas, Traci and Daryl Norton of Temple; and his siblings, Bobby Rutledge of Heflin, Corena Ann Rutledge of Heflin and Wanda Rutledge of Heflin, Alabama. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Collins Funeral Home (206 S Carroll Rd, Villa Rica, GA 30180). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of J. Collins Funeral Home (206 S Carroll Rd, Villa Rica, GA 30180).
