The passing of Phillip Ross Bates Jr. of Temple, Georgia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 23, 2024 at the age of 56. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Phillip shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Phillip farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by : his mother Mary Etta Bragg Swann. He is survived by : his father Phillip Ross Bates, Sr.; his wife Beverly Echols Bates of Temple; his children, Crystal Bates, Amber Bates, Christy Lynn (Denis Skopljak), Nicole (Johnny Loveless), Jennifer Johnson (Michael Shane Wells) of Carrollton and Randy Allen Johnson of Cartersville; and his sisters, Aletha Messel of Villa Rica, Stacy Edwards of Villa Rica and Crissy Edwards of Lafayette, TN. He is also survived by brother, Ray Bates of GA, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Temple Methodist Church (24 Carrollton St, Temple, GA 30179).
