She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos H. Mitchell and Clara Bell Warren Mitchell; her husband Joe Pierce Meek; her daughter Sheila Watkins; and her siblings, Gary Mitchell, Charles Mitchell, Isabell Zolnik, Jackie Mitchell and Bonnie Moesnner.
She is survived by: her sister Alice Black of Menlo, Georgia. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
