She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Green and Mattie Lee Davis; and her adoptive parents, Fred (Elizabeth Florence) and Elizabeth Florence. She is survived by: her husband David Eric Trower; her son Demarcus Florence; her granddaughter Callimarie Antionette Florence; her siblings, Dorothy Green, Barron Green and Earnest Green; and her siblings' children, Penny Hall (Paul), Janice Searcy Roseberry, Katherine Brown, Jessie Searcy (Shynetria), Algernon Searcy (Trishia) and Nathaniel Mormer. She is also survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.
