He is survived by: his wife Brenda Townsend; his daughters, Rhonda Fortner (Lonnie), Christy Kennedy, Kayla Harris (Mike) and Tina Higner; his siblings, Frances Reese, Dorothy Brown and Aldine Townsend (Ellen); and his caregiver Lisa Bragg.
