He was predeceased by: his father Bennie C. Childs; and his brother Bobby Steve Childs (Cheryl). He is survived by: his mother Ruthie Napier Childs of Jonesboro, GA; his children, Charles Childs Jr. of Lithonia, GA and Emily Perkins of Dayton, OH; his siblings, Mattie Childs Roussaw (David) of Jonesboro, GA., Elaine Childs Hambrick (Hime) of Stockbridge, GA, Henry Childs (Vivian) of Warner Robins, Joseph Childs of Thomaston, GA and Kim Lamar Childs (Lisa) of Seattle, WA; and his aunts, Mary Alice Walker of Jonesboro, GA. and Annie L. Mahone of Thomaston, GA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
