He was predeceased by: his parents, Courtney Phelps and Vashti Edwards Phelps; and his sisters, Ann Phelps Sturtevant (Carleton) and Martha Lyle Silsby. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Ellerbee Phelps; his daughters, Kelli Phelps Vaughan and Karla Phelps Kendrick (Eddie); his grandchildren, Ben Vaughan (CJ), Kaitlin Reid Vaughan, Sarah Kendrick Amos (Alan) and Hannah Kendrick Dunnahoo (Trey); and his great grandchildren, Ashton Pasley, Colt Amos, Sawyer Amos, Londyn Anglin and Brooks Vaughan.
