He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ray McDaniel and Ruth Elizabeth Brown McDaniel; his children, Danny McDaniel of Moreland, GA, Michael McDaniel of Craig County, GA and Lisa McDaniel of Brunswick, GA; his siblings, Darrell McDaniel of Griffin, GA, Deborah Simmons of Barnesville, GA, Connie Carter of Vidalia, GA, Donna McDaniel of Vidalia, GA and DiDi Dykes of Vidalia, GA; and his grandchildren, Jameze Fallings, Kaleb McDaniel, Daysha McDaniel and Alexus McDaniel. He was also cherished by four great-grandchildren.
